IF: Myth

Moose are mythical. No??? Well, they bugle like a Beluga and can be heard from six miles away. That's epic, in my book. Plus, they are fun to draw.
It's a myth that this drawing thing is easy, especially when one tries to distill complex creatures down to their simplest shapes.  Especially Jackalopes!!!!!!!

But I've logged another 5-7 hours towards my 10,000 hour goal.
Happy creating!

  1. Ha ha! Great spread!! I'm thinking one of those jackalopes is pretty bummed to have a big "No" underneath him, though! :)

    1. OH! You should have seen the jackalope that got cropped out of the photo. But, I feel bad for them if I try to erase them so he remains as is.

  2. Cool! And your sketchbook is wonderful. Love looking at people's sketchbook. Mainly, because mine is sad and messy. Ha!

    1. OMGosh...my sketchbook is the messiest. It wasn't always, though. I used to be so tight and controlled. I like the mess. It reminds me that I am freeing up.

  3. How cute, I love your Moose, and the bunnies are adorable as well!! Your sketches are a lot of fun :)
I had not kept up with my sketching the past year, but this year I'm trying to be more consistent. I see you are participating with Illustration Friday, but if you ever feel like another prompt in addition to that one, I started "Sketchy Sunday" as incentive for myself and others to sketch more: http://www.artsyants.blogspot.com/2013/01/sketchy-sunday-cold.html in case you're interested in joining.

  4. Jenn! So interesting to read of your way to get through this technology avalanche of costly items.I tell you, I'm ready to get rid of cable too..so expensive..but I have to convince the hubby though..it may take a long while. LOVE your moose and unicorn, and though you make it look so stunningly easy, I know there's a lot of time put into your fabulous creations. Thanks so much for visiting, Jenn!

  6. I like that winged horse. Horses are a bitch to draw, at least for me anyway. Can I say that word here?
