IF - Shy

Macchiato Maurice © Jenn Bower. All Rights Reserved.

Maurice was never SHY about ordering his Venti Macchiato, until he discovered it wasn't really pronounced (Mack-Chi-Ah-To).  Now he knew why the Barista never marked his caffe with a milky heart but, rather, a tiny little fig leaf.

(From my new Mug Shots - People of the Coffee Shops series. I hope you will follow along weekly.)

    1. Thanks, Michaele. I really am a minimalist at heart and I think that is really beginning to come out, but then I doubt myself. *sighs* How long does it take a style to fully develop?

  2. Love Maurice. Love his sharpness. His ironic suaveness. Is that a word?

    1. Thanks, Shirley. This comment was so awesome to read. I've really struggled lately with this 'adult humor' side of my personality but I've decided to just own it and see what happens. :) I don't know that I was the 'smart kid' I just liked being the first to get out of the room. Now, when it comes to movie theaters I sit in the very back.

  6. So what are you saying? Because Maurice mispronounces coffee names he aint packin' a big gun? Then again, he does look like someone who primps too much in front of the mirror, possibly overcompensating for other shortcomings. Hence the peacocking.
