Spring Break 2013

Is over... :(
I did a lot of this...


Spring cleaning and repainting rooms that haven't been retouched in 11 years.  Phew.  2 more big rooms to go and lots and lots of trim work.  But I figure it's better to get it all done this Spring so that I can devote the summer to doing lots and lots of this...





Oh...and remember when I said my daughter won Regional Gold in the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest????  WELL, she went on to win a NATIONAL GOLD MEDAL!!!!! Thanks to my loving parents we will be able to see her receive her award at Carnegie Hall later this Spring.

    PS - I absolutely SUCK at painting walls, so that sounds absolutely painful to me!! LOL!!!

      LOL. Me too. I hate it about as much as moving and one has to do both when they paint. Many tjanks for the congrats to my daughter. We are very proud of her.

    That cat on its back drawing is great! I can feel the relaxation just from the sketch. And it's good to do all the maintenance stuff. Sometimes I have to clean up in order to feel in the right mindset to work.

      Thank you, Jennifer. Spring Cleaning is still ongoing. My studio, painting trim and repairing a bad spot is the dining room ceiling are the last bit to go.

      LOL. Thanks, Ted. She is far more humble, talented and confident that I am. Her greatest advantage is that she has a parent who believes in her gifts and urges her to go for it. Amazing the things that can happen with that kind of support.
