IF: Ocean

One of my goals for 2013 is to sketch daily.  I also want to participate more often with Illustration Friday. So, each week my daily sketches will revolve around the IF theme.  I sense that there is an ocean of possibility in this method.

  3. Such cute, whimsical characters! My 20-year-old pet turtle, Bug, would be pissed if I didn't say the turt was my favorite!!! ;)

  6. Great goal! You are such an inspiration and I love seeing your work and progression. Also, how are you liking Photoshop CS6. I'm trying it out now on a 30 day trial. Pretty awesome (except the liquify tool is making me nuts)! Pretty daunting program but it's addicting. I haven't even touched my watercolors!

    1. Thank you!!!! That is so nice to hear...I am usually negative nelly but am trying to be more inspiring. :) I like CS6 okay. I am still really intimidated but am getting more comfortable. I wake up in the middle of the night with these lightbulb moments of understanding on what I did wrong with a setting, functionality, etc. I've learned some keystroke shortcuts which are fun... L for lasso tool, B for brush. I agree, it is addicting. But, my weakness is painting and color so I am still trying to gain confidence in not over doing and trying to hard with either. I really want the work to look more playful.
